I decided to turn one of our unfinished basement rooms into a school room because Riley is so distracted in the family room (wanting to watch t.v) while we are doing our learning time. So to solve this problem, we went to IKEA and got some cute, bright fabrics and covered up the ugly unfinished walls downstairs and put some school items in as well. We have our art eisle, a desk, an art supply corner and reading corner with pillows. I think that this will help Riley to enjoy his learning time everyday as we are teaching him letter recognition and we will also have his daily Violin Lessons down in our new School Room!

Andrea you are so creative! What a great idea to have "learning time" for your kids. I haven't even gotten Hallie into a preschool yet so I need to get on it. One of these days, we'll get into a house and hopefully, I'll be motivated to do something like this.

I love the paint story -- it hit close to home! Riley and Mac together would be major trouble . . . fun, but trouble! One of these days we'll have to get them together!
