Disney World Here we Come!

So our little family is headed to Disney World in 2 weeks from today and I am looking for suggestions from anyone who has been there with little kids! The long plane ride will be interesting, and we have a 5 day park hopper pass so I am hoping that the kids will last 5 days of walking! I am bringing a stroller that lets them lie down all the way so they can take naps, but what about my stroller? I am going to be 6 1/2 months pregnant, in a hot and humid place walking for miles! Any suggestions for me as well?

Andrea,
My suggestion to you, since I went at Christmas is to wake up early and be at the gate park right as they are about to open. We were able to get on almost all the major rides before it really got crowded. The meal plan is also a must especially if you have reservations lined up that way you are not worried about long lines. Enjoy every minute because it flies. I wish I was going again!

Even if you don't do the meal plan be sure to make dining reservations at the parks!

A portable dvd player on the plane is essential with lots of snacks and a variety of quiet activities. I also take my Parker's car seat on the plane so he is strapped in and sleeps well that way.

Get fast passes as soon as you enter the park and have daddy wait in line for some of the rides while you take the children somewhere else (so the poor kids don't have to wait forever and get tired and cranky). People get a little annoyed when you have to but in line, but who cares, right? Have a plan each day and look at the times for the shows and plan out where you will go when so you aren't roaming around wasting your time.

Good luck..use/buy lots of coppertone spray sunscreen. Bring lots of bottled water to the park and have fun! Parker went at the end of April and is still talking about Mickey, Tigger and Pooh. Finding Nemo the Musical at Animal Kingdom and Playhouse Disney at Hollywood Studios are 2 must sees.

Sorry for the novel. I guess I should have just emailed it :)

How fun! I have friends that are there right now with their kids. It must be that time of year. Have a great time. No suggestions here since I haven't been since I was like 12.

Andrea-the last time I was at Disneyland, I was 6 1/2 mo. prego. It was fun for everyone else because I could use my "handicapped-ness" to get to the front of the lines. But, there were a lot of shoulder rides from daddy, and a WHOLE HEAP of water. (and potty breaks). I recommend you get or wear a belly brace to support your back with all the walking you'll be doing!!! it saved my life!

Water, granola bars, fruit snacks, crackers, pack a GIANT bag of goodies. You will be in the "Happiest place on Earth" so nothing will seem too bad. Plus your kids will be smiling and so excited that you will realize that time really goes quickly. ENJOY! Oh, get the map and MEMORIZE where all the bathrooms are! Because your little ones will wait till the LAST minute to say, "I have to go potty!" So know where to run to!
