You will notice that there is no picture with this entry because the 1st Baseball game of the season is not something I want to remember any time soon!
Riley had a great 1st game and had a wonderful time! He told me that he just loves to play baseball! That is not the bad part. The bad part is after the game, I was just waiting for Riley to gather up all of his stuff and for Regan to finish talking to the baseball coach. Luckily Regan was holding Ellie!
I was just minding my own business when all of a sudden, something hits me really hard on my forehead! It hit me so hard that all of a sudden, I fell right to the ground! I did see black, so I am assuming that I blacked out. All I could do was cover my face and try to figure out what just put me on my back so fast!
I knew there were a lot of people over me, and I knew that I was instantly very embarassed because I hate being the center of attention! When I heard Regan's voice, I looked up at him and told him that I just wanted to go home. He made me lay down on the ground, but I just wanted to get out of there!
When I stood up, I was so dizzy and a little disoriented. There were so many people around me and I kept telling Regan to just get me home because I was just so embarrased-I guess of just being the center of attention.
So you ask yourself, what in the world hit you so hard that you would fall to the ground?
A BIG ROCK! Yes, that is right, a rock! Not a baseball-believe me, I would have prefered a baseball, but no-it was a ROCK! There is nothing harder than a rock-I know! We left the baseball field so confused as to what happened! When we got home, I took some medicine to try and make my headache go away! As we were eating dinner, the doorbell rang, and Regan went to get it. It was our friend and his son who is on Riley's Baseball team. He told Regan that his son had something to say to me.
Can you imagine how hard it would be to a 5 year old to go to your friends mom and tell her sorry for throwing a rock at her face? He probably thought he killed me by the way I fell to the ground! Anyway, he was so sad as he was apologizing to me and all I could do is give him a hug and tell him that it was okay.
I think that next time I will be the one to wear a helmet at Riley's baseball game so that I can protect my face from getting hit from a rock!
{What is the worst is that we are getting our family pictures taken on Thursday and I have a big goose egg on my forehead that is turning colors!}

Oh my goodness Andrea! I am so glad that you are OK!! Sounds like something that would happen to me! Just tell the photographer to photoshop out the goose egg...or maybe leave it in-it would be a funny story to tell the grandkids someday!!
Geez! While reading that it reminded me of when the kid you were babysitting once spit in your face right when his mom came in and he brought flowers to you.. Geez little kids! Way to be brave.
I'll be sure to wear my helmet next time Logan has a game.:)
