Happy St. Patty's Day!

I think that Riley and Sunny heard a lot about St. Patricks day and leprachauns from school, because they both had high expectations of this special day! In my mind, it is just a day you wear green so kids don't pinch you...and memories of my mom putting green food coloring in our milk for breakfast and I wouldn't dare drink it! {I have major issues with color, texture and other yucky things associated with food!} Anyway, I couldn't dissapoint the kids, so last night after mutual, I got a few little goodies {I mean the leprachaun did!} and put them in Riley's little leprachaun trap! I must say that I was very impressed with his trap. He had NO help from anybody. He found the box, taped up the holes, got a stick and a scarf to put underneath the box to be able to CATCH the little green guy! He even wanted to sleep on the wood floor next to his contraption so he could see if he caught this poor made up guy! Needless to say, he was highly disspointed that he didn't trap this leprachaun!!!   I do have to mention that something very wierd and mysterious happened last night. At 1 am, the ipod that Riley was listening to his Suzuki Violin music last night started to play a KT Tunstall song very loud!!! It freaked me out, so I went in his room to turn it off and Riley didn't even flinch! He just stayed asleep even though the music was right by him!!! I think this secret leprachaun played a trick on us last night after all!!! So next year, I will have to play up the leprachaun thing myself instead of leave school teachers to do it!!!
{On a side note, last year on this day, Regan and I were in Sydney, Australia and went to an AWESOME St. Patty's dinner, got pictures with a CUTE koala, and went to about 5 pubs to see all of the people who wish they were irish chug as much beer as they could! It was actually the funnest St. Patricks day I have ever had!}
